"Anatolia" in Turkish poetry in periodicals between the years 1895-1923

In this study, the reflection of the Anatolian theme on Turkish poetry from 1895 to 1923 is investigated. Firstly, the journals published between the specified years are determined. Then, these magazines are scanned and the poems dealing with the Anatolian subject are revealed. Afterwards, the poems are evaluated under appropriate titles. The study consists of four separate parts, excluding the introduction part. In the introduction part, the reasons for the orientation to Anatolia are expressed based on the social, political, literary and cultural movements of the period. In the first part, it is aimed to be stated how and in what way Turkish poetry dealt with the subject of homeland before turning to Anatolia completely. In the second part, poems dealing with Anatolian geography are discussed. The geography of Anatolia is examined under three different subheadings: mountains, seas and cities. It is determined in which functions the geographical elements take place in the poems. In the third chapter, under the title of "Life in the Village", subjects such as daily life in the village, cultural life, social-social structure are examined. In the fourth chapter, under the title of "Anatolian People", the place of women, men and children in the family and social life; the issue of education, the struggle to save the homeland from the occupation at the front and behind the front, how the occupation affected them and the subject of expatriation are included. In the conclusion part, the role of the Anatolian theme in Turkish poetry is determined. Keywords: Homeland, Anatolia, Anatolian people, poetry, periodicals
