The translation texts about the child magazines which were written in Arabic letters in the of 1897-1910

The westernizalition process that stars with Tanzimat, became an important factor in child litarature as it happened in all areas of literature. It is seen that the translation from west countries attracted the children?s attraction and interest, so it enabled our children to use it as a benefit. Increasing the westernizalition in the years of 1897?1910 the child texts which were written in west languages, will contribute the benefit to form the child literature and took shape with Mesrutiyet. This study is aimed to show the translation texts in child magazines made a benefit to child literature which were published in the years of 1897?1910. During our study, the magazines which were all published with Arabic letters, were received from different libraries. The translation texts which are published from the magazines, were found and then these texts were translated into today alphabet. The texts were classified in terms of their varieties and sources and then their educational factors are evaluated. At the result of this sudy, it is appeared that the magazines of that period of time, had a certain translation politics. The most of the translation texts supplied contribution to children?s individual and social development and they also included fun factors thinking of children?s talent, interest and levels. The most of translation texts were taken from French literature because child magazine was effected the conditions of term. The magazine published in 1910 named ?Mekteblilere Arkadas? included translations about country love and freedom feeling which showed us that the child magazines didn?t stay insenstive to social problems. It can be said that all the findings in this study, supply practical contribution to educators and especially to child literature researchers!
