Abstract (EN)
This thesis examines the 19th century Italian opera in terms of period, style and tecnique. In the 1st part, Italian Opera, Romanticism, Verismo, prominent opera composers of the period are analysed alongside the period's opera singers and audience. In the 2nd part, stylistic characteristics of the period are studied in detail.
