The economic aspect of İzmir between 1919 and 1922

V SUMMARY The aim of this search is to point out the Economic Aspect of İzmir Between 1919 and 1922. We observe significant increasing of economic activities of the city in the interval between the ivasion of Izmir by Greek Army in 1919 and the rescue of the city by Turkish Army in 1922. Izmir, that carries the speciality of being a trade window of Anadolu which opens to the west, has testified I. World War and the term of dominant opinion that "National Economy" before the time we mention on it, with the signiture of Mudros Armistice cristian elements and levantens took over the control of economic activities in the city. Together with Greek invasion which is made with the purpose of so-called reestablisment of security in Izmir, as it happened in all respects Greeks handled the control of increasing economic activities. As in the past, this increasing of economic activity would have gained nothing to Türk community. While searching the matter, we used documents in Ottaman Archive, newspapers and magazins of the period, previouly written scientific books and articles which cotribute to our term, and the materials which are writeen with the purose of diary. In order to explain the situation we examined the subjet that is named as "The Economic Aspect of İzmir Between 1919 and 1922" in three chapters:Chapter 1; İzmir, During The Period of Historical Development Chapter 2;The Economic Aspect of Izmir Between 1919 and 1922 Chapter 3; Social Situation and The Effects of invasion In this study, in order to reach easly to reader, we presented the statistical infomations, in tables.
