Abstract (EN)
Music is an important element that affects every aspect of life. With the proclamation of the Republic in Turkey, the liking of music has undergone a rapid change. In this study, the handling of music in the Turkish novel between 1923 and 1940 was examined. In the introduction, the change of music from the past to the present and the relationship of music with some other branches of art and science are discussed. The use of classical Turkish music in the first part, Turkish folk music in the second part and Western classical music in the third part in the novels of this period are examined.Again in these sections, the names of artists, works and instruments mentioned in the novels are presented.
