Wonking class and class confliction in Turkish poetry between 1940-1970

Since the birth of literature, it has always been influenced by society, found a material for itself in it, and received its share of social events and phenomena. Literature is a product presented through individuals, and the individual is a part of society. For this reason, what happened affected the individual, and therefore literature. One of the genres in which literature has an excessive intensity of emotion is 'poetry'. With this genre, poets have given products influenced by social phenomena, events and trends. One of these trends is "Marxism", which was put forward by Karl Marx in 1848. Although it is basically a political and social trend, it has also had a great impact on art and has influenced the works of many artists. In this study, we also discussed how Marxism, which is basically a political and social movement, was reflected in the genre of poetry in Turkish literature between Dec. 1940 and 1970. The poems of Marxist poets in Turkish literature written in the years 1940-1970 have been examined by considering them under the heading of Working Class and Class Conflict. The main purpose of the study is to analyze how poets interpret Marxism, a social movement, and how they treat it in their poems. The poems covered during the study were examined thematically.
