Abstract (EN)
Polish form of Catholic Christianity has a complex relation with general modernism and secularism process and modernity theories, which could be defined as a social paradox of Polish social realm. If we consider all modernism process and theories of modernity as teleological image and explanation of generalized social realm in Europe, Polish case has a monotone and rolling development against the generalized expectation of modernism with the emergence of modern state. We can easily say that the complex fact of Polish social realm against modernism and secularism is not basically melted into the air. In terms of sociological discourse, Catholic Christian phenomenon in Poland is the major and the only social actor, which keeps Polish society together against social crisis, which could be defined like anomy and dissolution threat or menace of systematic occupation powers of Prussia, Austria and Russia in the 19th century. In other terms, Polish Catholic Church organizes actual organization of social realm in Poland and this fact means that Polish modernism has asymmetric character with the rest of Western European modernity. This reality displays that Polish collective memory creates an image in the base of Catholic Christian phenomenon and this collective image functions to keep the Polish society together since 1945 against de facto occupation of Soviet Union as it has already done in the past problematic events of 19th century. In this research, we aim to analyse the influences of Catholic Christian phenomenon during socialist rule under Soviet Union and even after Polish transformation, which occurred in 1989 and adhesion to European Union in the year of 2004. We support our theoretical explanation in a consistent framework with fieldwork in the lights of sociological theories and methodologies to interpret the paradox, which could be defined as the paradox of Poland with divergent character with rest of modernized Western European societies.
