Abstract (EN)

Turkish workers' migration to Germany since 1961 attracted the attention of fields such as literature and sociology. In this study Turkish immigrant literature, which emerged as a result of labor migrations to Germany, was examined through the works of immigrant writers. This study is about the problems of workers who migrated to Germany since the 1960s and the novels taking shape around the lives of these workers. In the first part of the study; the concept of migration, internal migration and foreign immigration, migration in the world and Turkish literature, the causes of migration to Germany, and Turkey's and Germany's approach to immigration phenomenon, German-based Turkish immigrant literatüre are introduced with given information about literature topics. Also in this section; first, second and third generation immigrant literature novelists have been tried to be identified. In the second part of the study; after giving information about the first, second and third generation migrant literature novels, the novels examined and the authors of these novels were introduced. In the second part of the study; the thematic and subject aspects of novels were examined, the factors affecting the migration in novels were determined and the points of view of the heroes in the novels were included. In this study, which we prepared as a master thesis, common themes in novels have been identified by all generations mentioned in German-based Turkish immigrant literature. These themes; cultural changes, longing / homesickness, identity crises, Turkey-Germany comparison, loneliness, corruption, working conditions, discrimination / racism, education, be able to acquire possessions, are themes such as flashbacks. Also in this study, elements of migration reflected in novels were determined. It is seen that economic and political reasons are the leading factors affecting migration in the novels.
