Abstract (EN)

Electricity is a type of energy that is used in all sectors today and has no alternative. Although the use of electricity is indispensable for the continuation of life, if the necessary safety precautions are not taken, it can cause accidents that may result in major material damage or death. With the development of technology, the intensive use of electrical energy in all processes has brought safety problems, and a parallel increase has been observed in the number of electrical accidents. When working with electricity, short circuit explosions, fires and shocks may occur. While short circuits that may occur due to insufficient or unsuitable building installations cause explosions or fires, the resulting leakage electricity causes people to be injured and even die by being electrocuted. Electrical energy is transported to usage areas through electrical installations and operates the devices with circuit elements there. Compliance checks of these electrical installations are carried out by the relevant building inspection organizations or distribution companies before they are delivered to the users. No organization has been assigned to carry out periodic checks of the buildings that started to be used after these checks. Since the increase in the electrical power used today compared to the past causes higher currents to be drawn from the installations, it is important to check the suitability of the electrical installations in buildings between 20-40 years old, to solve the problems to be detected, to prevent possible negative effects such as accidents, fire, electric shock, device failure and It will be effective in ensuring occupational safety. In this thesis, technical examination of the electrical installations of the buildings in Tokat province, which were completed and started to be used between 1980-2000, and investigation of their compliance within the framework of electricity, occupational health and safety and other relevant legislation; Additionally, a comparison will be made in terms of current legislation and occupational safety. In the literature research, it was seen that no study had been done on this subject before and no recommendations had been made. With this study, this deficiency in the literature will be eliminated, it will be stated what kind of regulations should be made in the legal legislation regarding the subject, and it will be a source for future studies.
