Özet (EN)

In this research; entitled "Deconstructivism In Graphics Design; From 1980s to Present", various resolutions have been made concerning design and one of its theoretic intersections with Deconstructivist graphic design throughout its own history. In the first section of this thesis, data on Derrida and predeceosors were collected in the light of the theoretical analyse about Deconstruction, Linguistics and philosophy. Through the data obtained, the evolution of the Deconstructivist idea before it?s junctive with design is evaluated. In the following sections of this study, Modernism and Modernistic trends are exammed to understand the antecedents of -linguistic- Deconstructive process in Design. And benefiting from the similarities in the Postmodernist period, recent trends and Deconstruction are discussed. Findings on these sections give rise to the idea that Modernist trends "somehow" had the required potential to structure Postmodernist and eventually Deconstructive processes in the following period.Based on this structure, all of the acquired evidence points the fact that Postmodernist graphic design fed from modernist graphic design, even when it isolates itself from its modernist counterpart. Throughout the history, because of its unique and organic structure; using its free ways of expression in terms of individualism and identity, Postmodernist design gave strength to designers in developing radical attitudes for the problems waiting to be solved.
