Abstract (EN)

The inspiration still remains in the Divine Comedy, penned by Dante ghieri, in the second of the 13th century. We produced both in the architectural and plastic arts when the summer divine Comedy was written. Auguste, William-Adolphé Bouguer, William-Adoléphé Bouguer, Blake, who belong to the romantic product, are just a few of these artists. When examined together as a literary text, it consists of three parts consisting of the Divine Comedy. This neighborhood; hell, purgatory and heaven. The work, which emerged with cantos as a type of writing, presents a utopian universe to its reader. These three parts in it were expressed in layers by the Italian linguist and poet Dante Alighieri. While these layers, which are up and down, reach heaven with nine steps, they descend to hell with nine steps. The part in between is described as the part between heaven and hell, as the word 'purgatory', which is etymologically based on Arabic. Beyond a literary text, Divine Comedy also contains a philosophical meaning for the reader with its constructivist structure. This constructivist building provided auxiliary elements to the architect Terragni in the context of ekphrasis in the Danteum project. The concept of ekphrasis, which also constitutes the content of the thesis, is discussed in the first chapters with its historical process with main and sub-titles. In the third chapter, the diorama, which is one of the first examples of the fictional space, is introduced in relation to ekphrasis, and its definition, audience experiences and types of dioramas are divided into sub-titles in an exemplary way. In the last part of the thesis, a context was created with the concept of ekphrasis and application studies were included. The representative space, language, visual and representation aimed to be reached throughout the thesis have been handled with academic research and resources. Keywords: Dante Alighieri, Ekphrasis, Divine Comedy, Architecture, Diorama.
