Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the concept of subjectivity in the works of female artists in Turkish Painting Art after 1980 and to explain the concept of subjectivity. For this purpose, some theoretical approaches that examine the concept of subjectivity in the history of thought have been followed; The concepts of subjectivity, self, subjective experience, self-experience and objectivity are examined. In addition, the relations of these concepts with the phenomenon of art were tried to be determined and the concepts of subject, subjectivity, subjective experience and self were examined in the Ancient Greek, Medieval, Enlightenment and Modernism periods. In addition, the art of painting has been associated with the aforementioned concepts and theoretical approaches. In this thesis, data were collected using the qualitative research method, source analyzes were made and the works were examined. The works in the thesis were interpreted according to the descriptive analysis method and conceptual relations were established. In addition, female artists such as Tomur Atagök, Neşe Erdok, Nur Koçak, Berna Türemen, İpek Duben, Gülsün Karamustafa, Azade Köker, Fatma Tülin Öztürk, Selma Gürbüz, Didem Ünlü and their works after 1980 were evaluated in the context of subjectivity in Turkish Painting. The existence of the concepts of subjectivity and subjective experience has been seen in the works of the mentioned artists.
