Özet (EN)

Turkey is familiar with crises since 1970?s.Turkısh economy has adopted a new economıc policy with `?24 Ocak 1980 Kararları (24 January 1980 Decisions)??. Turkey has started to implement export based industrialization policy instead of import substitution economic policy. Turkısh economy which providing financial liberalization with `?32 Sayılı Karar (Adjudication in numbered 32)?? has toppled into a new severe crise with 1994 and then implemented ``5 Nisan 1994 Kararları ( 5 April 1994 Decisions)??. Turkısh economy has faced a new crise after the 1997 Southeast Asia, 1998 Russian crises and the earthquake of Marmara in 1999. As a result of this Turkey has made a new Stand-by Agrement with IMF in 9 December 199. After the November 2000 and February 2001 Crisis, Program for Transition to a Strong Economy has been put into effect. In this context Inflation Targeting Regime has been adopted in order to provide price stability. Finally 2008 Mortgage Crise has affected Turkısh economy less than the other developed countries.The purpose of this study are; to analyse economic crises in Turkey post 1980 period, to explain stabilizatio programs which are applied in order to struggle with economic crises and to developed suggestions upon possible new crises.
