Abstract (EN)
In our study titled "Turkic Mythology Motifs in Post-1990 Kazakh Painting Art ", it is aimed to reveal the characteristic features of the use and interpretation of motifs originating from Turkish mythology in the works of Kazakh contemporary painters. After reaching Kazakh painting art works within the period of 1990s-2000s-2010s determined in our thesis study, we started to work on the materials we obtained: the motifs used were determined, the mythological motifs were distinguished and the thesis catalog was created. The motifs used were categorized and the evaluation phase was started. As a result of the evaluation, the use of different motifs, their reflections in the works, the frequency of occurrence according to categories and types, and other indicators were determined and analyzed. In addition, 12 application studies were carried out, which were inspired by the subjects, motifs and works we examined, and included mythological motifs. If we summarize the results of our thesis study, a fluctuating growth dynamic was determined among Kazakh painters during the Kazakhstan independence period in terms of using Turkic mythology motifs, and it was determined that Animal motifs were the most common motif group among the works we examined. Among them, the horse motif is the most frequently used motif. Other side results and the information we obtained are determined in the Conclusion section.
