Abstract (EN)
In this research, the questions of the science course, which were asked in the high school entrance exams administered by the Ministry of National Education from 1998 to 2024, were analyzed according to Question Typology and Piaget's Abstract Operational Steps. The Document Analysis Method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. In line with the obtained datas, a total of 655 questions were classified according to Question Typology and Piaget's Abstract Operational Steps, and the obtained data were presented in tables as percentage-frequency.In the study, it has been determined that the majority of the questions are in the specialization question step based on the obtained results according to the Question Typology. The number of questions belonging to the reflective question level, which is the highest level, is almost non-existent. It has been determined that the questions are mostly in the correlational thinking step according to the obtained results which based on Piaget's Abstract Operational Steps. It is possible to reach the conclusion that the questions are generally in the lower level cognitive domain with the result obtained from the question steps.
