Abstract (EN)
In recent years, despite the increasing number of compounds having antimicrobial effect, their usage has been limited due to application difficulties, high toxicity risks, emergence of drug resistance, unwanted side effects, pharmacokinetic deficiency and/or deficiency in antimicrobial activity. This circumstance is forcing today's science to develop new antimicrobials continuously. Econazole and miconazole having imidazole ring have been shown antifungal activity and mostly used antimicrobial compounds through all azole derivatives. Derivatives of imidazole drugs are the mostly used antifungals in clinicals. However triazole ring containing antifungal drugs show similar activity to imidazole drugs, but their lower toxicity, slower metabolism and longer period of effectiveness make investigations on these compounds important. In this study, firstly 1-(furan-2-yl)-2-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethanone (3) has been synthesized from acetyl furan and 1H-1,2,4-triazole. Then, ?-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propanone derived ketones (4a-i) have been synthesized from ketone (3) and various benzyl halides in the presence of NaH. ?-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-il)propanol substituted alcohols (5a-i) have been synthesized by reduction of ketones (4a-i) with NaBH4 and ?-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-il)propanoic acid derivatives (6a-i) have been synthesized by oxidation of furan ring. All synthesized compounds have been characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, LC-MS and Elemental Analysis techniques. In the last part of study, biologicial activity tests have been done for all synthesized compounds. According to biological activity tests, most of the synthesized compounds have been shown antibacterial activity.
