Synthesis of the 2-alkylamino-4,5-dihydroimidazole compounds

In this thesis, the reaction of imidazoline-2-thion with methyl iodide was used to prepare 2-methylmercapto-4,5-dihydroimidazole hydroiodide with aliphatic amines such as diamine,triamine and tetramines. The syntheses of the salts of these compounds were carried out from the reaction of the 2-alkylaminoimidazolines and different organic acids such as, succinic acid, picric acid, fumaric acid and phthalic acids.
