Abstract (EN)

The scope of the thesis, Together with the reflections of the urban world, which became metropolitan after the 20th century, on the art, the metropolitan city is handled in terms of plastic and examined on the works. After the Industrial Revolution, cities started to form as a metropolis and developed as places where human societies continued their lives. The urban world after the 20th century has the quality of being a period of social and political transformations. The change in living conditions has caused great social effects and along with the socio-cultural effects of the rapidly increasing urban population, it has also brought about the change in the housing areas of human communities. Mass migrations increase the need for accommodation in cities and this leads to the formation of multi-storey buildings. The picturesque urban landscapes are reflected in the art of painting with different techniques and perspectives as a result of this evolving evolution. The conceptual framework of the thesis is the multi-storey structuring of urban architecture and researches take shape according to the problem situation. Within the scope of the thesis, the first settlements that are important in the formation of the urban structure are investigated and then the reflections of industrialization and urban development in the post-20th century in terms of plastic are examined. From the Ottoman period miniatures to the present, the city-themed paintings and the handling of the subject in western painting have been researched and examined. Within the scope of the subject, application studies with multi-storey architectural structuring views have been carried out. In this context, acrylic paint work was put forward on 14 canvases, and in these studies, the combination of plastic color and neighborhood was created by making cold colors prevailing, and then these works were examined.
