A study on 20. th century architects' design methods

Design is a thinking and decision-making process, in which many factors for solving a certain problem are included. There might be some methods that are used by architects in solving the problems they encounter along this process and in coming through. Along with the development of technological and constructional techniques, the methods used by architectures in making designs have developed and differentiated in the post-Industrial Revolution process, especially important architecturally. In this study, the methods and concepts of architecture, design, and design process were initially discussed and architectural developments in the post-Industrial Revolution period were mentioned. By making an analysis of the lives, design processes and architectural constructions of the architectures, who had an effect on the 20th-century architecture, it was aimed to seek for an answer to the question, from which factors they were affected and which method they used in the design processes.
