The effect of publishing technology on graphical design education in Ankara between 2000-2007

To convey information and science to wide mass, the first thing that comes to our mind is printing house and operating a printing business. The most important thing that is necessary for operating a printing business is paper. Paper is used as a means to reach civilization; and operating a printing business has great importance in reaching wider mass. İnformation that has been on paper shows the relationship between graph design and printing house. İt is impossible to think concept of graph design without printing art and technology. Printing house in an indispensable part in graph design in every position. How this whole part roles in each other is an important criterion. The basic aim of this research is to fix the effect of development of printing house technology in Ankara on graph design education according to the idea of employees. Emphasizing qualified and educated human power towards developing technology this study has been considered as usefull for training graph designer that can answer one?s needs and adapt technology. To fulfil the aim of research, information that has been get from printing house with the help of SPSS programme has been analysed as a result of conversation form prepared by research getting expert?s idea.By the information acquired with research:1.İt has been get information about the condition of printing house in Ankara between the years of 2000 and 2007 and machines of previous printing (film, exit, ctp, pattern, pose) ofset printing (web ofset, tobacco, ofset) and following printing(cutting, breaking, sewing and putting on cover)2.The development of house?s machines technologically has affected the working capacity and benefits of company positively. Owing to the technological development customer?s needs have been answered.3.Printing houses need qualified graph designers that can adapt technology and that are trained in their fields.As a result of research, by the findings that have been get between the years of 2000 and 2007 the printing house in Ankara has shown technological development. As a result of technological development in printing house, it needs qualified and trained graph designer.Key words: graph design, design, operating a printing business, printing house?s technology.
