Urban history of Hakkari according to postgradugale theses inthe field of social sciences between 2000-2023

There are many academic studies examining the political, cultural, economic and religious structures of Hakkari. In this study, the city history of Hakkari is focused on. 69 theses written about Hakkari were examined and their contributions to the history of Hakkari city were evaluated. In line with the information obtained from the theses, the historical process from the foundation of the city to the present has been discussed in detail. All theses examined were written in the field of social sciences and constitute an important source for understanding the multi-layered history of Hakkari. In this study, various sources written in the field of social sciences related to Hakkari province were brought together and an examination was made of the social, cultural, economic and political structure in the province from different dimensions. Our research aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of Hakkari from the perspective of social sciences by examining the existing literature in depth and classifying this literature under certain subject headings. Thus, it was aimed to bring together the studies on Hakkari and compile them under a single source, and to provide readers with a broad perspective by presenting data from different disciplines collectively. In particular, information about the history of the city was given priority and studies in this field were evaluated in detail.
