This research is based on the assumption that Adana and Adana people are portrayed negatively in the media and that Adana and Adana people are primarily associated with crime in TV series or films broadcast on television or various platforms. According to this assumption, in movies shot in Adana as a product of the media and culture industry, Adana and Adanan people are confined to a specific frame, and the image of Adana is presented in manipulation by associating it with anger and crime. The study aims to investigate the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the portrayal of Adana and Adanese in Turkish cinema after 2000 in the context of communication and cultural studies, based on the negative characteristics of the image of Adana and Adanese in the media. The scope of the research consists of feature-length fiction films shot in Turkey, which are set in Adana and reproduce Adana and Adana people in some way. The movie within the scope of the research was analysed using the concept of 're-production' in the context of media and culture industries. In this context, the audience reach of the films and duration are analysed through Box Office Turkey and digital platforms data. In addition, the characteristics and images of Adana and Adana people are presented in these films; which metaphors, metonyms and motifs are used and their relations with media and culture industries are discussed.
