Investigation of the mortal, injured accidents occuring on İstanbul-Ankara highway acording to weather, road conditions and road direction in 2004

The dishormany of human, road and enviroment which occurs suddenly and unexpectablely out of road users? aim, called `?traffic accident??, comes ahead of war, contagious,disaster for all socities according to the statistics, when they are compared. Traffic accidents are problem for Türkiye as for the other countries in the world.In this study, traffic accidents occurred in 2004 on the stanbul-Ankara highway are examined, the data of the accident fact-finding reports filled by traffic-police was assessed with graphics on SPSS-13 program. 79 persons died, 1770 persons were injured in the 900 accidents on stanbul-Ankara highway in 2004. In the study, 20 factors of the fact-finding report were examined by taking account the effect of them on an accident. This study is considered to be useful to prevent the accidents on the examined route.
