Abstract (EN)
In this study the Turkish Earthquake Code 2007 was studied, and the effect of (A1), (B1) and (B2) irregularity cases were examined. Analysis was conducted with modeled shear walls in different locations and modeled infill walls to investigate the variation of torsional irregularity and the variation of soft storey irregularity. The results of analysis were compared for the frames with and without infill walls and for the frames with and without shear walls. Equivalent diagonal compression strut model was used for the infill walls. The study was conducted for a total of nine different types of structures. The variations of torsional irregularities were investigated according to the number of spans and number of stories. Also, five different ten story buildings were modeled completely with infill walls and the analysis were conducted with taking into consideration the lack of infill walls on each story respectively. As a result of analysis it was found that on which story the maximum value of the soft storey irregularity came out in the case of without infill wall. At the same time, the situation of weak storey irregularity that may occur between the stories was investigated. Finally, it is understood that location and number of shear walls are very important for the formation of torsional irregularity and it is found that infill walls have significant effect on stiffness, period, lateral displacement, base shear force and structural behaviour. The analysis were performed by using SAP2000 software.
