Abstract (EN)

With 2000s, there has been an increase in the films of female directors in Turkey and they have started to create their own styles. Considering the patriarchal society they live in, the directors were actually interested in the problems of women in society. These directors deal with the problems women experience in patriarchal society in their films. In this study, it will be discussed how female directors who live in a patriarchal society represent female characters. The reason for including the year 2010 and later in the study; The reason is that women directors in Turkey have intensively dealt with the problems of women in their films. At the same time, there is a similarity in the problems of the female characters in the films of these directors. In this study, women's problems and their place in private and public spheres will be examined in the context of feminist theory.
