Abstract (EN)

These purposes include ethnic, religious, and cultural motives. When classifying terrorist organizations, it is generally observed that they are organized around these purposes. The concept of "propaganda through action," conceptualized by the Italian anarchist Errico Malatesta and vital for terrorist organizations, is used by all terrorist organizations as a demonstration of their continued existence. Especially when terrorist organizations have different aims but the same objective, and when they operate in the same geographical area or outside the area of their usual global operations, collaboration is observed. It can be argued that the PKK terrorist organization and FETÖ, even though they operate in the same geographical area, with different ideologies and different aims, act together because their target is the Republic of Turkey. Various points have been raised suggesting that the PKK terrorist organization did not act alone in its trench and barricade actions in Mardin-Nusaybin, Şırnak Center-Cizre-Silopi-İdil, Diyarbakır-Sur, and Hakkâri-Yüksekova, and that it received support and collaborated with FETÖ. The aim of this study is to determine whether the PKK terrorist organization collaborated with FETÖ in its trench and barricade actions. Based on the general outlines of terrorism and other regional events, the study's fundamental assumption is that there was collaboration between the PKK terrorist organization and FETÖ in the trench and barricade actions. To this end, and to test this assumption, historical research techniques and document analysis techniques will be used within the scope of qualitative research methods.
