The text-picture relationship of the picture storybooks in 2015-2020

Theorists have created concepts to describe the correspondences between images and text. These key concepts provide meaningful data for creating a design based on the reader-perceived dimension of the text's visual expression. In particular, this is the basis for the design of information and learning materials. The full interaction between text and images makes it easier to see, understand, recall and recall information, i.e. interact with the viewer's cognitive system. This is supported by the relationship between cognitive and structural principles. So do your research; It aims to organize the relationship between illustrated texts, especially books, which are accepted as an educational tool, with precise instructions and to offer a common perspective that will contribute to the formation of meaningful structures for the reader. Children's literary products should be of high quality, create reading pleasure in children and awaken children's creative thinking ability. For this reason, attention should be paid to the physical characteristics, content and drawings of children's books. In the research, it is aimed to determine the status of picture books in terms of story and picture relationship, appearance, content and illustration. Descriptive models were used in the research. Qualitative research methods are used to collect, analyze and interpret the obtained data. Literature analysis was performed to collect data. The research population of picture books (stories and fairy tales) consists of a sample of 22 first-printed picture books produced between 2015-2020. Descriptive analysis is used to analyze the data.
