Comparison of serum chemerin and irisin levels in patients with andwithout gestational diabetes mellitus between 24-28th gestationalweeks

Gestational diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that affects all cells and requires a multidisciplinary approach. It is associated with an increased risk of short- and long-term complications for both the baby and the mother during and after pregnancy. There is no international consensus on the approach to be applied in the diagnosis and treatment of GDM. Discussions continue about whether screening should be done in general or high-risk groups, the time of screening, the test to be applied, the threshold values ​​used in the evaluation, and the application of the screening test as one or two steps. In our study, 75 g OGTT was performed between 24-28 weeks. The aim of this study was to compare serum chemerin and irisin levels among pregnant women with and without gestational diabetes mellitus. There will be 30 patients in each group. (There will be 60 patients in total.) Among those who have 75 gr OGTT test, those whose fasting blood glucose is 95, 1st hour blood glucose 180 and 2nd hour blood glucose 155 will be considered as Gestational Diabetes Mellitus.(ACOG' According to a) During the routine blood collection from the patients, 1 cc of blood will be taken in our study. The collected blood will be separated into serum and the materials will be stored in deep freeze at -80 degrees until the collection of all blood is finished. Later, chemerin and irisin levels will be measured in these collected blood using the Eliza device sandawich method. It is aimed to determine the cehemerin and irisin levels in patients with and without GDM diagnosis and to determine their effects. The data to be obtained will be analyzed statistically.
