Abstract (EN)

The Ottoman Empire has a history of 622 years, leaving behind an extensive archival resource. Sharia registers constitute an important part of these archival sources. These records kept by the courts provide great opportunities for researchers as they include rich content in terms of administrative, social, cultural and economic aspects. Ayntâb Shari'ah Registry No. 25, which is the focus of this research, consists of 200 pages and 675 documents in total. The documents were transcribed and summarized. They were then classified and evaluated according to their subjects. Through the data obtained, it was aimed to shed light on the history of the city of Ayntâb between the years 1657-1659.
