Opinions and awareness of parents with children between the ages of 3-6 about mind games.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the knowledge, opinions and awareness of parents with children between the ages of 3-6 about mind games. For this purpose, socio-demographic (age, employment status, education level, marital status, number of children) variables, parents' view of child development and their views and awareness about mind and intelligence games will be examined. In the research, case study design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was applied in accordance with the purpose. The universe of the research is the parents with children between the ages of 3-6 in Istanbul, and the sample composed of mixed parents consisting of 102 men and women determined by the convenient sampling method. For the research, the Evaluation Form of the Information, Opinion and Awareness of the Parents with 3-6 Years-Old Children on Mind and Intelligence Games was used. The form, which consists of 21 questions in total, consists of three parts in which demographic characteristics, parents' approach to child development, and their views and awareness about mind games are evaluated. In the research, parents' knowledge, opinions and awareness of mind games were examined, and according to the findings obtained as a result of the analyzes, it was determined that parents had a positive opinion about mind games. Although the general opinion about mind games is positive, it has been determined that awareness of the time needed for the acquisitions and gains for the field should be increased. It has been determined that meeting with pre-school institutions in early childhood provides a positive level of knowledge about the field. The information obtained from the data is discussed in the perspective of the relevant literature.
