Özet (EN)

The purpose of this thesis is to reveal the views of Classroom Teachers and Middle School Maths Teachers about the 5th Grade Maths lesson. This research was appropriately done based on one of the qualitative research methods, Phenomenology. The study group of this research is consisted of 16 middle school teachers and 17 classroom teachers who have a duty in public schools of Sanliurfa's several townships such as Eyyubiye, Haliliye and Karakopru. Data collecting tool is a semi scructured discussion form created by researchers and experts. These discussions under this form were recorded and written on paper. Content analysis was used to analyze the discussion data. Findings obtained from the analysis of the data are put together in 3 different titles. According to the results of these obtained findings, Maths lesson teachers stated that, together with several class management problems coming from the fact that the students are young, they (students) also continue to act as if they are still primary schoolers and they (teachers) struggle to communicate and also struggle to go down to the levels of students during lecture. Class teachers are also thinking that the 5th grade students will have a hard time to adapt to different lesson teachers, will have a hard time to adapt because of their ages and lesson teachers won't be able to go down to the level of the students during lecture. Both teacher groups think that Maths lesson should be taught by a Maths teacher since they are more eligible to it.
