Using the literary products on the grade 4th class of social sciences of value honesty

Abstract (EN)

The main aim of the search is to examine the effect of the literary works on honesty education for the grade 4th students. The group consists of the 4th grade students who have been educated in 2015-2016 Educational Years in Rize-Pazar province and in Ahmet Mesut Yılmaz Primary School with 4-L class (25) the experimental group and 4-N class (23). In 3rd grade Life Lesson Curriculum and in 5th grade Social Science Curriculum, in Values Education Programmes, the value of honest is set up. On the other hand, in the 4th grade social science lesson, the value of honesty education is not given importance and also, there are not any studies about teaching of value of honesty in the grade 4th. There makes them important. The qualitative search method is aimed. The data has been collected by document review, observation and interview. Unlike, the commonly used western sources, the artifacts of the Islamic civilization and the Eastern classic literary products which represent Turkish traditions and cultures as case study texts. In the selected products, it must have the core values of educate the honest human, and it must be suitable for the grade 4th students' level. Within the framework of the document review, Kelile and Dimne, Gülistan, Bostan Mesnevi, Nasihatname (Kabusname) and Tutiname are searched. The data were analyzed by the content analysis technique. Attehend of the search, using works are very effective to teach the value of honesty for the grade 4th students.
