Determination 40 years and older women's knowledge, attitudes and behaviours which is intrested with menopause and osteoporosis

This thesis was made with aim to determine knowledge, attitude and behaviours of forty years and older women living in the New, Hope ,and Çıksorut district which is dependet with Şehitkamil district İn Gaziantep provincial. The universe of the study forty aged and over four hundred one women living in the three neighborhood were the universe of the study; and questionnaire was applied to them in June-July-Augustmonths.In our study, it is determined that 24.9% of the respondents are 50-55 aged, 23,4% of them are between 40-45 ages, 95.8% of women are married, 44.9%' of them are illiterate, 96.4% are housewives, 16.2% of the women in survey do one abortion, 7% had a abortion , 75.3% have information about preservation methods, 37.2% use the withdrawal method, 43.4% use protection method by more than 10 years, 52.1% don?t have systemic illness, 69%, 6 have menopause, 22.7% is in menopause for 3-5 years, 67.3% have menopause wit natural way, 89.5% don?t have knowledge about menopause, 82.5%' Scroll undergo mammography, 5.7% of women who have mammography is in 46-49 years olds, 98.3% one third undergo frequently mammography, 99.8% would not know how we deal with adversity menopausal, 59.1% ' Scroll preferred diet of vegetables and cereals, 93.3% do not use Ca tablets, 91.3% third of the sunlight does not stay, 91.8% are milk-smokers, 77.1% consume 1-2 yogurt bowl, 68.3% one third 1 - 2 cups buttermilk consumed, 92.3% are non-smokers, smokers of 3.7% was observed that they smoke 6-10 cigarettes a day. 100% of the women surveyed do not use alcohol, 78.8% are coffee smokers, 38.9%' drink 3-4 cups of tea. It is found relation between socio-demographic features with time of staying under the sun and ratio of usage calcium tabloid. In addition, İt is determined a meaningful relation between ratio of undergoing mammography, menopausal features, and socio-demographic situations. It is also found meaningful relation between menopausal features, menopausal complaint.
