Reason for this should be searched in philosophy of their being taken under record. In other words, we may say that the reason is requirement for preparation of a new and comprehensive register in Tanzimat (1839 Ottoman Reforms) era. Since books were kept in first years of Tanzimat, we have found opportunity to determine that they also offer an insight to socio-economic conjuncture of that period. Temettuat Books, which are one of indispensible sources in terms of local history research, present importance in terms of displaying especially economic potential of district they belong to through rich content they own, while they provide an opportunity for comparison with contemporary socio-economic structure.
