Abstract (EN)
Today, taxonomies are an important issue that should be taken into consideration when preparing education programs. The most emphasized taxonomy in the literature and taken into consideration in the preparation of the curriculum is the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The aim of this study is to examine the gains and grammar questions in the Turkish text books of 5-6-7 and 8th grade in secondary school in 2018-2019 according to the revised Bloom Taxonomy and to determine their distributions by classifying them in terms of knowledge and cognitive process dimensions categories and so to assess compliance with RBT. In order to achieve this aim, the data obtained by using qualitative research method were analyzed through document analysis. The grammar questions were analyzed according to Bloom Taxonomy's dimensions as knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation dimensions that constitute the Cognitive Field Dimensions. As a result of document analysis, as the gains and questions in the Turkish Lesson Education Program were examined in terms of cognitive process dimension, a significant portion of total questions (71,90%);are in there call (29.75%) comprehension (19.01%) and application (23.14%) were found to be in the lower cognitive stages. On the other hand, the percentage of the gains in the analysis, evaluation and creation dimensions, which requires metacognitive skills, that is, high level thinking skills, was determined as total (28.10%). Considering that one of the important goals of Turkish education is to develop individuals' high-level thinking skills, Turkish curriculum should be prepared in accordance with this aim and higher cognitive (analysis, evaluation, creation) skills should be taken into consideration in the distributions of gains in the cognitive process dimension.
