Özet (EN)

In this study, the effects of stem activities based on the 5E learning model prepared according to the unit of separation of mixtures on the entrepreneurial skills of 10th-grade students, their level of association with the subjects in daily life and their motivation towards the chemistry lesson was examined. A quasi-experimental design a with unpaired control group was used in the study. 39 10th grade students participated in the study, 20 of which were in the experimental group and 19 in the control group. As quantitative data collection tools, the chemistry motivation scale developed by Eskicioğlu & Alpat (2017), the entrepreneurship characteristics determination questionnaire developed by Aydın (2015), and the daily life skills test on the subject of mixtures prepared by the researcher were used to collect the data. Whether the data showed normal distribution or not was analyzed with the Shapiro-Wilk. Since the data showed normal distribution, independent groups t-test and dependent groups t-test, which are parametric tests, were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, when the pretest and post-test scores obtained by the experimental group students of the general and sub-dimensions of the entrepreneurship skills questionnaire for vocational high schools are examined; It was seen that there was no statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test mean scores obtained from the general and sub-dimensions of the questionnaire. When the averages of the scores obtained from the overall and sub-dimensions of the chemistry motivation scale are examined; It was determined that there was no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test mean scores. Finally, when the difference between the pretest and posttest mean scores obtained from the daily life skills test on the subject of mixtures was examined, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in favor of the experimental group. When the results of the control group students are examined, from the general and sub-dimensions of the entrepreneurship skills questionnaire for the students' vocational high schools; When the pretest and posttest mean scores are obtained from the general and sub-dimensions of the chemistry motivation scale and the daily life skills test on the subject of mixtures are examined; It was found that there was no statistically significant difference between the mean scores. When the post-test scores of the experimental and control group students were compared; It was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in favor of the experimental group between the post-test scores obtained from the daily life skills test only on the subject of mixtures.
