Abstract (EN)
In our study 9 Mannich bases which have 6-benzoyl-2-oxo-(3H)-benzothiazoline ring, were synthesized and their antimicrobial activities were examined. It is known that Mannich bases have high antimicrobial activities. Besides this 6-benzoyl-2-oxo-(3H)-benzothiazoline ring has various biological activities, such as antinflammatory, antibacterial, anifungal, reported in the literature. For this purpose, 6-benzoyl-2-oxo-(3H)-benzothiazoline Mannich bases were synthesized utilizing appropriate amin derivatives. The structure of the compounds have elucidated by IR, 1H-NMR spectroscopic data and confirmed by elemental analysis.Antibacterial and antimycobacterial activities of synthesized compounds were tested by in vitro antimicrobial susceptibility tests.Compound 1, 2, 8 and 9 have maximum antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis at 64 µg/ml Minimum İnhibitory Concentration.Key Words: 2-oxo-(3H)-benzothiazoline, Mannich bases, antibacterial, antimycobacterial activity.
