Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the activities used in the Electricity in Our Lives unit in Science and Technology lesson program which was renewed in 2004 according to the constructive method on students' attitude to the Science and Technology lesson. The research was applied by the researcher to two groups of the 6th grade students who are reading in two schools of the Ministry of Education in Tomarza, Kayseri "50. Yıl Primary School and Yavuz Selim Primary School". While in one of these schools the 6th grade students were taught by using activities in the new cirruculum, in the other school the students were taught according to the traditional teaching method without any activities. In the study pre-test / post-test pattern was used with test-control groups. Before the study Science attitude scale was given to the both classes as the pre-test and after the study the same scale was applied as the post-test. While the gathered data was statistically analyzed SPSS 11.5 packet program was used. In order to analyze the sub-problems of the study dependent groups t-test and independent groups t-test were used. The results of the analysis showed that there is no significant difference between the attitudes of the test group students taught according to the new Science and Technology curriculum and the control group students taught according to the traditional teaching method. Also the results showed that in the test group the female students developed a more positive attitude when compared to the male students.Key Words: Science and Technology, ,Curriculum, Traditional Teaching Method, Attitude
