Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to associate the subject of physical and chemical changes with daily life on 6th grade students to examine whether the differences in variables such as gender, household income, mother's education level, father's education level, place of residence and time spent with parents during the day. In this study, both quantitative and qualitative research techniques, mixed methods research, have been used. The qualitative dimension of the study is to detemine the status. So, analysis in this study is descriptive. Implementation of the study has been conducted with Yukarı Dudullu 75. Yıl Secondary School' students (N:160) in the fall semester of the academic year 2012-2013, Uskudar district of Istanbul Province, under the Directorate of Education. Association with Daily Life Test has been used by researcher to collect data. Findings show that students' gender, place of residence and time spent with parents during the day have no significant differences in the association the subject of physical and chemical changes with daily life. Students' household income, mother's education level and father's education level have significant differences in the association the subject of physical and chemical changes with daily life.
