Developing a sample model including solutions for experienced problems of over 60 year-old women wearing bra

The purpose of this research is to develop a sample model including solutions for experienced problems of over 60 year old women wearing bra. As number of old people is increasing day by day, need of underwear is also increasing. Being comfortable and shaping out the body are the specifications of underwear desired by elder women. In accordance with the purpose of research, it is aimed to design a new bra as considering the expectations of women. In this research, in order to determine the solutions for experienced problems of over 60-year-old women wearing bra, half trial modelling method is used. In the research, as data collecting organ polls and surveys are utilised. At first, survey was presented for expert?s view and according to evaluations and suggestions, required revisions were prepared and after a demonstration targeted to 20 people, last format for the survey was determined. ?SPSS 16.0? statistical package program is used to evaluate the data taken from demonstrated survey. Frequency (N) and percentage (%) distributions of notions in the survey are calculated. It is observed that great majority of women attented to survey are in their 60?s and more than half of them have 4 or more children. Also, it is noted that majority of women use natural capped bra as the great majority prefer cotton bra. As the discomforts of the women caused by bra they purchased are inspected, it is observed that most of them are uneasy about clips being at back and braces tightening the shoulders. When the desired specifications for the bra are evaluated, it is obvious that bras with wide braces, front-clipses and a design letting to move free are wanted. In this case, the majority of participants more often purchase visually proper bras. In accordance with the resulted desires of participants 3 bra designs are prepared and 3 different trials are occured. 3rd design model which is prepared as a result of the survey is granted by women who tried it on.
