Abstract (EN)

The video head impulse test (vHIT) is a new and useful test battery to detect SSC dysfunctions. In vHIT evaluation, relationship between head movement and eyes movements which is occur being reflex to the head movements is analysed with canals. Evaluation with vHIT for VOR gain value of SSCs is considered to be obtained reliably. However, for evaluation of vertical SSC's, more and new findings are needed for reliability. Aim of the our study, in 60 years and older healthy ındividuals, determined the normal gain values of SSCs in vHIT which is new test method and examining relationship with 18-55 between years inviduals. One hundred, 60 years and older volunteers (study group) and thirthy eighteen 18-55 between years volunteers (control group) joined in study. For two group, mean VOR gains and mean asymmetry ratio of each semicircular canals were calculated. Both of groups was analyzed by gender. Group of female and male which in study group with control group, were analyzed in sign of lateral, RALP and LARP test with their fellow. As a result, there were statistically significant differance in all mean VOR gains and mean asymmetry of each semisircular canals between study and control groups (p<0.05).As a result of analysis by gender there weren't statically significant difference. In a conclusion that, vHIT is a test metod, which can be implemented easily and can be evaluated to six SSC at same time, is clinically non-invasive and objective especially for adults. To have obtained mean normative values for all SSCs, especially vertical SSCs, can contribute to literatüre as a reference value.
