Abstract (EN)
Self-esteem is the sum of positive attitudes and thoughts which self directed individual. Subjective well-being is the emotional well-being which is generally explained by the positive mood. Self esteem and subjective well-being levels are aimed to investigation in 60 ages people and person over the age of 60 years. Total, there are 140 people participated in the study, including 58 women and 75 men. Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale was used to measure self-esteem and also Oxford Happiness and Beck Depression Scale was used to measure subjective well being. As a result of correlation analysis, depression and self-esteem correlation value is found as r=0,393, happiness correlation value is found as r=-0,353 and self-esteem and happiness correlation value is found as r= -0,401. There are significant effects on self-esteem and subjective well being on selected age, marital status, education level, health status, socio-demographic variables. In the study, self-esteem was found to be the lowest category women who are working and highest were working men. On the other hand, while subjective well-being was found to be highest category in working men, the unemployed women was found to be the lowest.
