RTÜK supervision in internet broadcasting services in the context of article 29/a of Law No. 6112

Since the beginning of the 21st century, the Internet has been used effectively and widely in almost every area of our lives. The internet, which is the main tool of freedom of expression; It includes all media such as newspapers, magazines, radios, televisions and movies. It is very valuable that the publications on the Internet are published in a way that does not hinder the freedom of expression and in an understanding of democratic and independent publishing. The research is based on the article 29/A with the margin title "Presentation of Broadcasting Services on the Internet" added to the Law No. 6112 on March 21, 2018, and the "Regulation on the Presentation of Radio, Television and On-Demand Broadcasts on the Internet" issued on August 1, 2019 within the scope of this article. prepared on the basis of This research includes the general evaluation of Article 29/A of the Law No. 6112 and the examination of the articles in the relevant Regulation and the decisions made by RTÜK. The aim of this research is to reveal the problematic areas and legal basis of the provisions in question. Literature review method was used in the research. As a result of the examinations, it has been revealed that there are problems in the issues of freedom of expression, legal certainty and legal certainty in the said regulations.
