Presentation effectiveness of public services number 6360: The case of the Sea Mass City Municipality

With the Law No. 6360 on the Establishment of the Fourteen Large Metropolitan Municipalities and Twenty-seven Districts and the Amendment of Certain Laws and Decrees on Decree Laws, the authorities and responsibilities of the municipalities as well as the boundaries of the areas they have served have changed in the local administration system as well as the number of metropolitan municipalities in Turkey. Law No. 6360, aiming to move away from the hard-line management bureaucracy in the centralized hierarchy of the hierarchy and address service-delivery decisions to more local problems, aims to move away from the direct state-made understanding of the services offered. In the metropolitan provinces, everybody has access to public service. With the Law No. 6360, the local administration structure in Denizli has changed, 2 new central districts have been established and the headmen and mayorships, which are the legal entities of the villages and municipalities, have been closed. The villages and towns were converted into neighborhoods, and the service boundaries of the metropolitan municipality were determined as provincial boundaries. In order to investigate the effects of the Law No. 6360 on the public services provided in metropolitan cities and districts in Denizli, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 38 municipality administrators and the collected data were evaluated with the SPSS Statistics 22 WIN program and the establishment of new metropolitan municipalities with the law numbered 6360, The hypothesis that expansion to its borders is a positive development in terms of administrative and service delivery has been tested.
