Transcryption and evaluation of Ayintab Sharia Registrynumber of 68 (H. 1129–1130/M. 1717- 1718 s. 1-178)

Sharia registers are containing notebooks about administrative, political and legal correspondences decisions taken by the kadis in the Ottoman Empire. The registers contain important information about the city's old settlements, documents of commercial and social dialogue, economic and legal status of the people, and the Sharia courts. There are 174 Sharia Registers belonging to Ayıntâb, Hijri 1129-1130 (M. 1717-1718) dated, 68 numbered Ayıntâb Sharia Register consists of a total of 536 pages. This study includes transcription and evaluation of 178 pages, which constitute the first half of the Sharia Registry. As a result of this study in the first quarter of the 19th century, the Ottoman Empire in general and the social, political, economic and cultural situation in which Ayntab was present were tried to be clarified.
