In this study, examining 7th grade students' experiences of drawing cube arrays consisted of unit cubes on isometric paper. A total of 6 students, 3 girls and 3 boys, who were in 7th grade participated in the study. An interview was conducted with each student and their drawings were video recorded. How students used units (faces, edges and vertices) of three-dimensional shapes (cube arrays consisting of unit cubes) in their drawings on isometric paper in the activities of adding cubes to cube arrays, removing cubes from cube arrays and creating cube arrays whose different views were given, and their experiences in the process were discussed. In this study in which each student is considered as a case, a cross-case analysis design was used, and afterwards the obtained findings were compared across cases. At the end of the study, it was understood that students had difficulty in their drawings of cube arrays on isometric paper whose views were given from different angles, and that the participants could produce new knowledge with their experience in the drawing process. In addition, it was determined that students participated in the interview were able to make their thoughts more understandable by using various gestures in some parts where they had difficulty in conveying their thoughts to the interviewer while reasoning about their drawings.
