Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine seventh students? using mathematical language in the geometry learning area.According to the results of the research, it has been identified that the students have difficulty in using the mathematical language. In addition, it has been shown that the students? mathematical language usage levels are generally medium level and they don?t vary by sex. Also, there is a positive relationship with academic achievement and when their academic achievement increases, their mathematical language usage levels increase. It has been found that there is a positive relationship between Mathematical language usage levels and Mathematical Language Attitude Scale on creating problems, concept formation and converting shape. Furthermore, there is a positive relationship between the students? academic achievements and mathematical language attitude scale on only concept formation. When the gender is taken into consideration, the mathematical language attitude scale shows differences in verbalisation, symbolic expression, concept formation and converting shape. Key Words: Mathematical Language, Geometry , Lines and Angles
