This research, in which the views of the teachers regarding the consistency of the TEOG exam questions to the gains in the curriculum of 8th grade English course of the elementary education are determined, is a case study. The study group consisted of 19 English teachers working in 8 schools selected from the secondary schools in the city center of Gaziantep. In the study, firstly the teachers' views on the gains of 8th grade English course curriculum were determined in the context of "Qualifications of the Gains", "Compliance to Level of the Student", "Ability to Perform the Skills" and "Competency and Measurability" that were already determined by the researcher. Afterwards, by using a semi-structured interview form, their views on 20 questions in the central TEOG exam on 8th grade students which took place on 27th, November 2014, were determined. The great majority of the teachers expressed that "The gains are not promoting positive affective traits for English." and majority of the teachers stated that "The gains are not promoting creative thinking skill." in the sub-themes of "Qualifications of the Gains". Under the sub-themes of "Compliance to Level of the Student", the great majority of the teachers indicated that "The gains are compliant to the level of readiness of the students" and the majority stated that "The gains are compliant to students' level of foreign language learning". In the sub-themes of "Ability to Perform the Skills", great majority of the teachers expressed that "Gains in reading are achievable." and "Gains in English grammar are achievable". Majority of the teachers stated that "Gains in writing are achievable". Great majority of the teachers stated that "Gains in speaking are not achievable" and "Gains in listening are not achievable". In the sub-themes of "Competency and Measurability", the great majority indicated that "The gains in the curriculum are sufficient", "The gains can be observed and measured" and "The questions in TEOG Exam can measure the gains of English course". It is determined that all of the teachers have positive opinions about 8 of the questions, a great majority have positive opinions about 9 questions and majority have positive opinions about 3 questions regarding the 20 questions in the exam of 8th grade English course for the primary schools, held by Ministry of National Education in the 1st semester on 27 November 2014. In terms of teacher opinions, it was determined that the questions in central examination of English were generally appropriate for the student level and the curriculum.
