According to the numbered 9 of judical registers of Antalya the administrative and socio-economic situation of Antalya city between the years of 1853-1859

VI ABSTRACT In this thesis work, basing on the Judical Registers (DCnumbered The Antalya Judical Registers), it is scrutinized the administrative and socio-economic situation in Antalya between the years of 1853-1859. Antalya, the oldest harbour city, its pecularity lasted during the Selcukids and Ottoman Periods. By the Anatolian cities, it was primarily Antalya in which effected from the renovation movements that were for getting rid of the corruption and decline of Ottoman State. Especially, in administrative, social, judical, municipal and fiscal areas, these renovation movements were getting accelerated during JJ.Mahmut and Tanzimat Period and also reflected in Antalya. In this period, getting duties the kaimakams in administrative mechanism, the Viceroys (naibs) in judical judgements, it is seen that some informations about the various institutions which were emerged depending on reformation movements were reflected on documents. When it is putting on pecularities for the Money in circulation and the prices of various products in economically, ethnical-religious settlement, situation of families, it can be said that Antalya has an identity of typical Otoman- Anatolian city.
