Abstract (EN)
Aluminum alloys are widely used in the automotive, railway, shipbuilding industry and aviation industries due to their high durability, heat and electrical conductivity and their ability to heat treatment. Three different AA 6082 aluminum alloys with dimensions of 300x50x25 mm were used in this study. Half of the cutting inserts were cryogenic in nitrogen tanks cooled by liquid nitrogen tubes. Surface milling process was performed with cryogenic and non-cryogenic inserts. The effects of cutting parameters determined for milling operations on surface roughness and cutting temperature were observed. In the experiments, cutting speed (100-150-200 m/min), feed rate (0.1-0.15-0.2 mm/rev) as three different cutting conditions with two different cutting inserts (cryogenic, non-cryogenic), cutting depth (1-1,5-2 mm) values are used. In experiments with cryogenic inserts, the lowest surface roughness 0.694 μm; were obtained under cutting conditions 200 m / min cutting speed, 0.1 mm / rev feed rate and 1 mm cutting depth. In experiments with non-cryogenic inserts, the lowest surface roughness 1.136 μm; were determined under cutting conditions 200 m/min cutting speed, 0.1 mm/rev feed rate and 1 mm cutting depth. In the experimental work performed with a non-cryogenic insert, the highest surface roughness value was reached to 3.215. For cryogenic treated inserts the lowest cutting temperature value 80.9 °C; it was determined in the experimental study performed with 100 m / min cutting speed, 0.1 mm / rev feed and 1 mm cutting depth parameters. For inserts that are not cryogenically processed, the minimum cutting temperature 90 °C; it was found in the experimental study performed with 200 m / min cutting speed, 0.2 mm/rev feed rate and 2 mm cutting depth parameters. The highest cutting temperature value was reached as 182.5 °C in the experimental study with a cryogenic unprocessed insert. In the results obtained, according to the experiments made with non-cryogenic tips, it was seen that the surface roughness and cutting temperature values decreased in the experiments with cryogenic inserts. Effective cutting parameters were determined by analysis of variance.
